Anson Mount is trading in his cowboy hat for a crown. The Hell on Wheelsstar has nabbed the lead role in Marvel and ABC's Inhumansseries, in which he'll play Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city.

Because of the nature of Black Bolt's powers, don't expect him to be very talkative.

"Anson loves the challenge of playing a character who will only communicate silently," said Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television and executive producer of the series. “His enthusiasm mixed with his imposing, almost regal persona made it easy to see why he is our Black Bolt."

Added executive producer and showrunner Scott Buck, “Black Bolt is a character whose deep complexity must be conveyed without uttering a single word, and I’m very excited to have Anson on board to bring him to life.”

It was previously announced that Game of Thronesalum Iwan Rheon has been cast as Maximus, Black Bolt's troublesome younger brother, who has aspirations of being king himself. (Paging Thor and Loki.)

Marvel's Inhumanswill be the first TV series to premiere its first two episodes exclusively in Imax theaters for a two-week run before the show's broadcast debut on ABC.

The eight-episode series will hit Imax and ABC in September 2017.
