Apple lands new drama with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon
Apples quest for world domination continues, and it has its eyes on TV next. The tech company secured a highly-sought new drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon that networks have been eyeing for some time.
The series is based on Brian Stelter's Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV and will explore – you guessed it – the behind-the-scenes goings-on at a morning television show.

The as-yet-untitled series is part of Apple's foray into television, which also includes a sci-fi series from Steven Spielberg. In October, Bloombergreported that Apple wanted family-friendly programming, but The Hollywood Reporternotes that the Aniston-Witherspoon series was heavily eyed by premium cable outlets like Showtime, which aren't exactly rated G.
With names as big as Aniston, Witherspoon, and Spielberg, Apple certainly has the attention on its original television programming.
The series has no premiere date yet.
